Tailboard Camera c1889
P. Meagher, London, England.
Patrik Meagher started his business in 1859 after having been in the
employ of Thomas Ottewill. It is likely that Meagher have introduced the
folding side wing support future of early tailboard cameras. Today this
style is referred to as the "Meagher style".
This example is a tiny quarter plate camera with mahogany body and brass
trim. The brass lens is made by Dallmeyer.
