Dallmeyer, a British company, founded in
1860. Their main business was to manufacture lenses,
but they also sold cameras. Some of these were
manufactured by Dallmeyer themselves, some were made
elsewhere, then equipped with Dallmeyer lenses and
sold under that name.

Sliding box camera made for the wet plate collodion
process. The camera consists of two wood boxes, one sliding within the
other. The camera and the ground glass frame are stamped
with serialnumber 1532.
The unmarked brass lens is of Petzval type,
with rack and pinion for fine focusing.


Hand cutted dovetail joints.
Made for plate size 3¼" x 3¼".
